Terms of Use

Thanks for using Flowta. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. We've tried to keep them as plain and short as we reasonably can.

1. The agreement

These Terms of Use form a legal agreement between you and Flowta. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the app. Use of Flowta on Apple platforms is additionally subject to Apple's App Store Terms; where Apple's terms apply, they govern your use of the App Store itself.

2. Who can use Flowta

Flowta is intended for personal, non-commercial use by individuals aged 13 or older (or the equivalent age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). To use the app, you'll need a compatible Apple device, an Apple ID, and the ability to sign in with Apple.

3. Your account

Flowta uses Sign in with Apple as its only authentication method. You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID secure. We don't issue separate Flowta passwords, so we cannot reset or recover anything on your behalf — sign-in problems are resolved through Apple.

4. Your content

Anything you create in Flowta — tasks, notes, watchlist items, reminders, projects, areas — is your content. You own it. We don't claim any rights over it, and because we don't store it on our servers, we couldn't make commercial use of it even if we wanted to.

You agree not to use Flowta to store or generate content that is illegal in your jurisdiction, that infringes someone else's rights, or that is intended to harm others. While we have no technical ability to inspect your content, you remain responsible for it.

5. Acceptable use

Please don't:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app, except where allowed by applicable law.
• Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to Flowta.
• Attempt to bypass App Store payment for paid features.
• Use the app to interfere with Apple's services or with other users' use of their own devices.

6. Flowta+ subscription

Flowta is free to download. Some features (Designer themes, the full Rhythm History archive, and any other features marked "Flowta+") require a paid subscription called Flowta+.

• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID under Apple's standard in-app purchase terms.
• Subscription length, renewal, pricing, and free trial details are shown in the App Store before purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your Apple device.
• Refunds are handled by Apple. You can request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com.
• If your subscription lapses, paid features become unavailable but your data remains intact.

7. Updates and changes

Flowta will receive updates from time to time. These may add features, fix bugs, change how features work, or remove features that no longer fit the app. We may also change pricing for new subscribers; existing subscribers' renewal terms will be communicated through the App Store before the next renewal.

8. Service availability

Flowta works locally on your device. Sync requires iCloud, which is operated by Apple — so iCloud sync availability depends on Apple's services. We don't promise uninterrupted access to features that depend on third-party platforms (iCloud, Sign in with Apple, the App Store), and we aren't responsible when those services have outages.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Flowta is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all defects will be corrected.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flowta and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, missed reminders, or missed follow-ups. Flowta is a planning tool; it does not replace your own judgment about deadlines, commitments, or responsibilities. Always keep your own backup awareness for anything truly critical.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for Flowta+ in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.

11. Termination

You may stop using Flowta at any time by uninstalling the app and, if you wish, deleting your iCloud data (see the Privacy Policy for instructions). We may suspend or terminate access for users who materially violate these terms, though as a primarily-local app this is rare.

12. Apple-specific terms

Because Flowta is distributed through the App Store on Apple platforms, the following also apply:

• These terms are between you and Flowta, not between you and Apple. Apple is not responsible for Flowta or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance and support for Flowta.
• In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app (if any) to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

13. Changes to these terms

If we update these Terms, we'll change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, surface a notice in the app. Your continued use after the change means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Flowta is operated, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring claims in your own country.
